Vertical garden structure laying

Vertical garden structure laying

The laying of the main structure and its construction will depend largely on the characteristics of the plant chosen to cover it: in fact, depending on its mode of anchoring and growth, a particular geometric conformation will be required. In fact, if we are dealing with twining species, we are going to position some taut metal cables vertically, which we will intersect with laces if necessary, which at least in an initial phase deviate the plant even in horizontal directions. Position the vertical supports at a distance of 20-40 cm between them, always taking into account the development of the plant: if the uprights grow vigorously, even 80 cm. As for the plants that grow thanks to tendrils or in an intertwined way, you will have to use supports that include both a vertical and a horizontal development: you can get this effect by combining cables stretched or by using metal structures or grills: you can use the most disparate materials, from the metal or polymeric matrix networks to the electrowelded ones from the construction site, with a mesh width that can reach up to 60 cm depending on the foliage and the length of the tendrils. There are also some products specifically designed for these needs that you can use and install according to the instructions provided on the package. Among them there are also modular panels, usually self-supporting that can be supplied already with vegetation or to be filled.
